The Dessert Tiers and Accessories Historic Replica of the Dessert Tiers You will find these in historic homes- Mt. Vernon and James Monroe homes, as well as, in Williamsburg and many more. I fashioned mine in 1992 and made the 'jellies' from the faux water, like used in floral vases. The other vintage items I added as I found them. In some of the homes' displays, whipped, hot wax was used in glasses for the 'syllabubs'. In the book, "Entertaining Ideas from Williamsburg", page 88, you can see the use of master salts, or nut dishes, figurines, etc. as an example [ISBN 0-87935-095-4]. The James Monroe home used the faux jellies when I first saw that in 1990.
