GLENN WITH-MISS GINNY, MISS EMILY, AND MR. CORKY– ALL PEMBROKE WELSH CORGIS |

|
Corgi Aid Inc. came about to assist with the great medical needs that some of the rescued Corgis have. Some corgis have had bone surgeries, eye diseases, and more of the costly medical treatments helped by Corgi Aid Inc. grants. Please visit: www.corgiaid.org for more information. The important needs are taken care of and the corgis then can go to their “forever homes” through adoption. Volunteers make crafts and donate corgi things for the Corgi Aid on-line auction each year, as well as, other donations to help with the costs of the medical treatments. The Jan. 2008 auction raised the greatest amount ever-over $20,000.! Just think how many of corgwn will be helped! You can help with you purchase from our online store section “CORGI GARDEN HELPERS”, too! |

Oh! What fun these furkids are! They each have their own personalities, likes, and dislikes-just like human children! Ginny is serious and doesn’t want to see anyone play-except her and Corky, that is. She must account for each and every bone so goes around the house and collects them to her pile. Corky has only ball-playing on his mind and doesn’t want his games interrupted. He is very particular as to the kind of ball he plays with. Mr. Eskimo, is a fun-loving, laid-back boy who is just happy to be here! Emily, the corgi’s mother, keeps everyone in line! She wears a watch and tells time (just kidding) to tell everyone when it is time to get up and time to eat-including the humans here. |

OUR PET FAMILY |
|
Pets are to be in FOREVER HOMES and not given up when you move, change your family’s life style, etc. They have feelings and want to be part of your family as a member. The shelters a full of dogs and cats and rabbits, etc. that are left when families move. They have pets no longer wanted because a new baby came into the family or some other life style change. When there are problems with the pet, people will not take the time to find out what is wrong but just take them to a shelter. Please search the internet to find the answer for a pet’s problem, ask your vet, and join a discussion group to learn more things about the care of your pet. Dogs are NOT for everyone-especially Corgis and American Eskimo dogs. These are active breeds and can be very stubborn at times. Before you consider getting a dog, search the web for the breed and its personality to be sure that it will coincide with yours. Just like planning for a human baby, ask your self if you are prepared for 10 to 20 years of life with your pet. Consider the cost of 50 to 100 dollars a month in food and medicines. THERE ARE SEVERAL PLACES WITH GOOD INFORMATION ON ALL PETS. HERE IS A GOOD LINK TO START WITH: PetEducation.com - Drs. OUR EXPERIENCES AT UPENN-VET. HOSPITAL We first went to UPENN VET HOSPITAL in March 2009 with our 3 Pembroke Welsh Corgis for a hip dysplasia study, PENN HIP. We had a great experience with the Hospital doctors and staff. They took the time to explain things and showed genuine care and concern. In July 2010, we had to take our Pem, Corky, for treatment on his corneal ulcer. The eye doctors there were amazing. Corky received the greatest of care. The appointment staff was nice and friendly. This is a highly organized hospital and everything runs smoothly! We can’t say enough about UPENN VET HOSPITAL and recommend going here for all your pet emergencies and specialized care! PLEASE CLICK ON THE BANNER AT THE TOP FOR INFO OR EMERGENCY NUMBERS DIRECTLY ON THEIR WEBSITE. |
